On Wednesday, May 22nd, the second fundraising event was held at 59 Isabella St. The fundraiser was part of the Property Manager Challenge that is taking place up until May 31st. All proceeds from the events will be going toward the Outreach & Revitilization Assocation and the Israel Tennis Centers.
The residents of 59 Isabella St. were invited to the social room for some pizza and a pop. In addition, handmade blankets that were crocheted by none other than our Senior Property Manager, Lorelei Holden, were available for purchase.
Lorelei and her staff would like to thank all those who came out to support this great fundraiser. Also, a big thanks to the staff from surrounding buildings, Chase Ambursely, Bill and Darlene Davidson and Building Manager, Sandi McKechnie, for their contributions!

Up next in the Greenwin Property Manager Challenge is Lorelei Holden of Toronto, Ontario. Lorelei has said that being with Greenwin has been fun, frustrating and fantastic. She notes that the best part of her job is her assistant, as well as mentoring her site staff to achieve more than they ever imagined. When asked what her favourite food was, Lorelei said "Uncle Bunty's Corn Fritters." She has also said that her favourite saying is "There are no problems, only solutions."
Lorelei is off to a great start with her fundraising for this challenge. She is selling beautifully hand knit dog blankets for $10, has had a very successful bake sale and is also selling chocolate bars to her tenants. If you would like to help Lorelei win the challenge and $1000 to be donated to the charity of her choice, The Humane Society, please email info@greenwin.ca for more information.

Once a week the men and women from the Fire Department trained amongst the hallways and surrounding areas in order to become better prepared for real life incidents. Our building representative, Christian Sims had nothing but great things to say about this opportunity.

“These men and women work hard and train hard. It was very interesting to watch them and I actually learned a great deal from them. I was happy to have them in our building.”

The fire fighters were training with dummy’s that weigh up to 160 pounds. This opportunity has created a better relationship amongst the renters, Oshawa Fire Services and Greenwin.

On March 12, we celebrated superintendent couple Don and Grace Cannon, who have dedicated 12 years of service to our company. The owner of the building joined in the celebration along with Senior Property Manager, Lorelei and daughter Brenda.

We presented the couple with a bouquet of flowers as well a personal gift from the client for 12 years of dedication to her property.

The lunch was filled with anecdotes about the building in addition to ideas for moving forward at the property.

Grace and Don are retiring at the end of March. However, they won't be going too far. In fact, they have chosen to stay in the building and have been generous enough to offer support to the new couples that will be taking on their role!
Please join us in celebrating the achievements of our dedicated couple, Don and Grace!

Jessica was nominated for this honour several months ago and was ultimately selected to be one of a handful of recipients in her riding. On Friday January 25th, she accepted the award from Olivia Chow, NDP Member of Parliament for the federal riding of Trinity-Spadina.
The medal commemorates Queen Elizabeth’s 60 years of public service as our head of state and recognizes exceptional Canadians for their contributions to their communities and our country.
We are proud of Jessica for making a difference – it is her and other everyday heroes that make our community special.

Through her work and involvement as a community activist, she was and will continue to be a loud voice for youth and the community.
When we met Stephnie in 1999, 5, 10 and 25 San Romanoway were considered one of Canada’s worst apartment complexes. From 1987-2000, the crime and violence rate within the neighbourhood was 122% above the national average. Residents were experiencing more than twice the amount of violent crime than the national and Ontario rate.
We met with law enforcers, residents, local businesses, community organizations and community leaders to discuss the escalation of crime and vandalism to the property. Ultimately, Stephnie Payne was engaged...

The children of the three rental apartments all received Canada Day napsacks with Canada hats, balls, sunglasses and flags.
Staff members Donna, Raymond, Tina, Paul and Ed, all helped out at the event to distribute food and allow the children to get into the Fire Pumper that stopped by for a visit at the Toronto rental property.
The event was attended by Lorelei Holden a Senior Property Manager with Greenwin and our Vice President of Operations, Bruce Creber.
Unfortunately, our event was cut short by an impending thunderstorm but not before the residents enjoyed a meal of hamburgers, hot dogs, brownies and fruit.
A wonderful celebration for Canada and for our Residents!

This year’s event took on a Spanish flavour including decorations and the choice of menu. The 2 Isabella sites and the Gloucester site were all invited up to the roof top Lanai of 59 Isabella to enjoy Spanish music, build your own fajitas and even a Spanish balloon maker, who created one of a kind sensations for the guests.
Residents of the Toronto rental properties joined in the fun of creating their fajitas of chicken or beef and then sampled a multitude of toppings either, crispy, warm, soft or spicy to create a personalized fajita. The residents enjoyed the view of downtown Toronto including our impressive CN Tower.
Food was served by Just Good Taste who provided all kinds of toppings, iced cold and delicious drinks with "iced down" freezies for desert.

On June 21, 666 Ontario Street hosted a Neighbours Night Out event in co-operation with CPAT...Crime Prevention Association of Toronto.

Events throughout the City are put on to encourage residents to get to know their neighbours. Several Greenwin staff from surrounding Greenwin buildings attended the event to help keep the traffic flow of people moving and to help children with games.

There was a inflattable bouncy castle and baseball game for the children to enjoy.

Good food too....salads, burger, sausages, drinks and ice cream for all the residents that attended.

Toronto Police were also on site and interacted with the residents answering inquiries and chatting with the children.

Greenwin Properties believes dogs are good for business, she said.
Over the past few weeks, the company has welcomed dog owners to the Ocean Towers complex at 2334 Brunswick St.
"We’ve received a comfortable response to the promotional effort. We did not want and did not expect to be overwhelmed with applications from dog owners," said Green...

It is great to know that I have someone like this looking over where I live when I am away. His family is very welcoming and I could never ask for such a great person to be in charge. Thank You!
Really Clean! – When I come home the stairs are always mopped and it smells awesome! The carpets are vacuumed on a weekly basis and there has never been an issue with any garbage lying around. If I see something on the floor I will go back 10 minutes later and it will be gone. I could never...
