Summary: The Manager, Revenue Administration, will oversee the efficient management of revenue operations within the property management portfolio. The Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition and ensuring compliance relevant to the RTA. The role will work closely with finance and operations to support revenue growth and ensure financial reporting accuracy.

Revenue Management & Oversight
- Lead, manage, train, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring the team is well-equipped to handle all aspects of revenue administration.
- Rent collection - Manage and streamline the rent collection process, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of payments from tenants.
- Oversee the internal collections process, collaborating with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure effective follow-up on overdue accounts. Utilize various collection methods and strategies to reduce outstanding balances, ensuring timely payments and minimizing financial risk.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare accurate revenue forecasts and performance reports, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights to senior management and assist with budget forecasting.
- Prepare regular reports for management on the status of ongoing legal cases and compliance issues.
Training & Development
- Provide legal training to internal teams, including Operations and Leasing teams, ensuring the understanding of legal processes and compliance requirements, as well as best practices for avoiding legal issues.
Process Adherence
- Identify and implement best practices for revenue-related processes, enhancing accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance. Lead initiatives to automate and streamline systems where possible.
- Proactively identify potential legal risks and recommend strategies to mitigate risks. Assist in developing policies and procedures to minimize legal exposure.
- Manage the rent collection and arrears process including the issuance of N4s, eviction proceedings, deployment of internal collection specialists, etc.
- Ensure adherence to vacancy procedure (including move-in and out, abandonment and skip, eviction, etc.)
- Oversee internal rent relief programs, as applicable to client requirements.
Compliance & Legal
- Oversee tenant-related legal matters, ensuring compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA), including managing legal notices, hearings, and LTB judgment applications.
- Act as the central liaison for all tenant applications and Landlord Tenant Board Orders and Above Guideline Rent Increase proceedings.
- Stay up to date with the RTA and other relevant legislation, ensuring the Company’s practices align with the legal requirements.
Asset Onboarding and Offboarding
- Act as the departmental lead in all key areas of revenue administration during the onboarding and offboarding of assets Reporting
- Oversee regular reporting on KPI adherence, collections data, tenant applications and legal proceedings.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Minimum five (5) years in accounts receivable management preferably in the property management or real estate industry
- Solid understanding of relevant legislation (RTA)
- Knowledge of Yardi/Property Vista preferred
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage, train, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, clients, and stakeholders, while maintaining positive relationships
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated track record of meeting targets and deadlines in challenging environments
- Ability to troubleshoot revenue-related issues quickly and implement effective solutions
