Job Description
Summary: The Project Manager will oversee a new development project from inception to completion and will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of the project, ensuring it is completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, the Project Manager will drive high-impact initiatives and bring innovative solutions to life.

Project Leadership & Direction
- Provide overall strategic direction and management, ensuring smooth coordination and alignment across all project phases.
- Take ownership of project goals and guide teams to success, balancing administrative, technical, and operational tasks to achieve exceptional results.
Preconstruction Support & Planning
- Lead the preconstruction process by supporting the development of key project documents, including budgets, schedules, and site logistics plans.
- Proactively identify and resolve constructability concerns, ensuring architectural and engineering plans align with practical execution.
Project Performance Management
- Oversee all aspects of project execution, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, quality, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project performance regularly, making adjustments as needed to keep the project on track for successful delivery.
Design Coordination & Constructability Solutions
- Collaborate with the consultant team to ensure seamless coordination of architectural and engineering drawings, identifying and addressing potential constructability and coordination issues early.
- Act as a liaison between the design team and contractors to ensure the project’s vision is executed without costly delays.
Consultant & Stakeholder Coordination
- Lead consultant coordination meetings during construction, driving clear communication and decision-making to ensure the project is progressing as planned.
- Resolve project issues promptly by communicating effectively with owners, trade contractors, consultants, and internal team members.
Subcontractor Management & Procurement
- Take the lead on negotiating and issuing subcontracts, revisions, major purchase orders, and progress payments.
- Monitor the progress of subcontracts, ensuring they align with project timelines and financial goals to maintain smooth operations.
Documentation Control & Distribution
- Manage the distribution of all project documents, ensuring that owners, consultants, and trade contractors receive accurate and timely information.
- Maintain a high standard of organization and ensure the proper flow of critical project documents across all stakeholders.
Team Mentorship & Performance Reporting
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, helping them grow in their roles and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed performance status reports covering safety, cost forecasts, and schedules, keeping stakeholders informed and engaged.
Who you are:
- Degree and/or diploma in Construction, Business, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in project management, preferably within a development or construction-related industry.
- Proven expertise in people management, fostering strong teams and driving performance.
- Exceptional time management skills, able to prioritize and meet tight deadlines with ease.
- In-depth knowledge of high-rise project architectural and engineering drawings.
- Foresight to anticipate and resolve potential issues before they escalate.
- Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings and other documents.
- Knowledge of Tarion guidelines.
- Certified in Health and Safety protocols (WHMIS, Working at Heights, Basics to Supervision)
- Proven ability to take responsibility, engage with stakeholders, and communicate effectively across team
- Enthusiasm for challenging and new initiatives.
